Generation 2 Servers: Launching March 1st 2025

Sorry for the lack of updates for so long. We've been working really hard on fixing some fundamental issues with the platform and we're pleased to announce some big news.

On the 1st of March 2025, we'll be releasing our generation 2 servers, the main highlights for this release will be:

• Massively improved general performance for all servers, more CPU, more memory, much less likely for any server to crash. Currently we are experiencing much higher crash rates than is acceptable. This should reduce server crashes to just situations where the server software itself crashes.
• A higher number of free servers will be available, so there will be less queuing for your server to start.
• All servers will have their own global IP address, so all plugins that require their own port such as Simple Voice Chat should run smoothly now.
• All servers will have a file manager. Currently this will only supports listing files, but in the future we will consider allowing viewing files, and potentially editing files directly etc.
• Various interface improvements and tweaks.

After this is released, we'll update all plugins and server software to the latest version available.

There will likely be a few hours downtime on February 28th 2025 while we perform some migration tasks. When the site is back available again, servers will be immediately be available to be used as normal. No existing server data will be lost.
